Chapter 63: Hagrid

Chapter 63 Hagrid

“What’s its name?” Albert asked as he put the sandwich in his mouth and finished it, stretching out his hands to gently rub the hound’s head.

“Fang.” Hagrid replied subconsciously.

"Ya Ya? It feels like this big dog's momentum has suddenly disappeared. How about calling him Spike?" Albert casually gave Ya Ya a new name.

“I think it’s nice to call me Fang.” Hagrid stopped cleaning the mink and shook his head to reject Albert’s kindness.

"My name is Albert Anderson. Are you also a professor at Hogwarts?" Albert asked knowingly.

“No, I am the gamekeeper.” Hagrid continued shaking his head.

"Does the hunting ground refer to the forest over there?" Albert raised his finger and pointed in the direction of the Forbidden Forest. Before Hagrid could answer, he continued, "I heard that there are werewolves in the forest. Is this true?"

“Are you a Ravenclaw student?” Hagrid asked uncertainly.

Albert glanced sideways behind him, snickered at the three of them, and replied: "No, we are all Gryffindor students."

"Oh, Gryffindor students." Hagrid suddenly said seriously, "I won't let you go into the woods..."

"Ahem, Albert, how did you know this dog would rub its head for you? I just thought it was quite fierce." George quickly diverted Hagrid's attention.

The three of them came over and started rubbing Yaya’s dog’s head.

“Intuition, probably. I also raise cats myself, but I just didn’t bring them to school.” Albert casually made an excuse to excuse himself, “By the way, Mr. Gamekeeper, do you mind letting me take a photo another day?”

“You can call me Hagrid.” Hagrid did not refuse, he just suddenly recalled some past events.

"Well, Mr. Hagrid. Okay, Hagrid..." Albert quietly brought the relationship between the two parties closer.

“What are you taking pictures for?” Hagrid asked.

“I want my family to know about my life at Hogwarts. They are Muggles and don’t know anything about Hogwarts,” Albert explained.

“It’s best not to reveal too much about the wizarding world to Muggles, as that may get you into trouble.” Hagrid reminded with a frown.

"Oh, I know." Albert looked at Hagrid, thought for a while and then said, "Because of the secrecy law?"

"You know this?" Hagrid was a little surprised how Albert knew about the Law of Secrecy. A Muggle wizard who had just entered Hogwarts should have a very limited understanding of the magical world.

Albert briefly told Hagrid about Truman's misfortune.

The gamekeeper was stunned after hearing this. He said softly: "I don't know much about the secrecy law. I only know that underage wizards will be warned if they use magic in front of Muggle family members. In the residential area, using magic in front of Muggles is a criminal offense and will result in direct expulsion."

“Are there any cases of expulsion from Hogwarts?” Albert found that he had indeed tricked Truman. No wonder it was an expulsion letter instead of a warning letter.

“As far as I know, there shouldn’t be.” Hagrid wasn’t very clear either.

"Your incident is a special case." Fred cleared his throat and explained, "I can only say that the unlucky Truman bumped into you accidentally."

"Hmm!" Albert thought about it and understood the reason. There should be some Muggle wizards who had received the warning, but they were usually frightened by the letter and did not dare to use magic at the risk of being expelled.

"By the way, Hagrid, what dangerous creatures are there in the Forbidden Forest? Why doesn't Dumbledore allow new students to enter the Forbidden Forest?" Albert brought the topic back to the topic that everyone was interested in now.

“There are many dangerous magical animals in the Forbidden Forest.” Hagrid nodded.

“For example, a werewolf?” Albert asked, raising his eyebrows.

“Yes, werewolf.”

"Didn't you say that if you are bitten by a werewolf, you will become a werewolf? Dumbledore actually allows students to have werewolves as neighbors?" Albert raised his doubts.

"Werewolves are deep in the Forbidden Forest and will not easily appear around the school, and..." When Hagrid spoke, his eyes were a little evasive, obviously feeling guilty.

“What question is this?” The three people whispered beside them.

“Ten...or twelve?”

However, the three of them still admired Albert. They had all noticed that Albert had almost made the situation in the Forbidden Forest very clear by asking questions.

They also discovered that Hagrid had a special liking for fire dragons. When Albert talked about fire dragons, Hagrid was particularly excited about the introduction of fire dragons.

As for the woods outside the Forbidden Forest, there is actually no danger. Students occasionally have classes there, but if you continue deeper into the Forbidden Forest, you may encounter centaurs, werewolves, and there are also unicorns and other magical creatures in the Forbidden Forest.

Hagrid saw that Albert had a soft spot for unicorns, so he gave him a small bundle of unicorn tail hairs, and before they left, he warned the four not to try to enter the Forbidden Forest.

Albert stopped and suddenly turned around and asked: "Hagrid, are there any guardian trees in the forest?"

“Dharma protector tree? You mean the sorbus tree?” Hagrid asked in confusion.

"Yes." Albert nodded and said, "This tree has been mentioned in both the herbal medicine class and the Defense Against the Dark Arts class. It can really ward off evil spirits...I mean, repel dark magic creatures?"

“It does help.” Hagrid nodded.

"Well...can you help me...I mean I want a small section of the dead branch of the sorbus tree."

“What do you want that thing for?” Hagrid asked suspiciously.

"I am planning to make a gift for my sister. I heard that the Dharma Protector Tree has a protective effect. I can pay some Galleons." Albert said sheepishly.

“No need, I’ll go into the forest to help you take a look when I have time, but don’t expect too much. The Bowtruckle generally won’t let people touch the sorbus tree casually.” Hagrid understood what Albert meant.

The sorbus tree, does it protect your family?

It’s really good.

"Thank you, Hagrid." Albert said gratefully, and he began to think about what Christmas gift to give him.

“You’re welcome.” Hagrid scratched his head, feeling embarrassed.

Like Fang, Hagrid is obviously not as ferocious as he appears.

"you are great."

On the way back to the castle, the three of them gave Albert a thumbs up and praised him.

"Do you want it?" Albert asked, taking out a small bundle of unicorn tail hairs from his pocket.

“Forget it, what do you want this for?”

"Give it to my sister as a birthday gift. She must have never seen unicorn tail hair!" Albert has already thought about it. If there is no wood from the pineapple tree, he will knit a bracelet with unicorn tail hair and give it to her. Nia makes birthday present.

“Birthday gift?” Several people looked at each other.

“By the way, what did we give Ginny for her birthday this year?” Fred suddenly asked his twin brother.

“Licorice wand.”

“What about Ron?” Fred asked again.

“Fudge flies and cockroach skewers,” George said without thinking.

Albert suddenly felt that it was not easy for Ron to have such a brother.
