Chapter 474 Hagrid wants to be a mother
After being reminded by Albert, Fred, George and Lee Jordan gave up the idea of leaking what happened in the dungeon.
However, this interesting adventure still made them very excited.
The four of them originally planned to sneak to Hogsmeade on Easter Day to have a good time, but just after breakfast, Wood cruelly announced to them that they would have Quidditch training later.
"Wood doesn't need to review?" Lee Jordan looked sympathetically at Fred and George who were dragged away by Wood, and asked in confusion.
The fifth grade students are working hard to review their homework and prepare for the upcoming exams.
"Wood is planning to join the Quidditch team after graduation. It is more important to train his skills than test scores." Albert replied absently.
He was surprised that he didn't receive a letter from Hagrid. Logically speaking, Hagrid should have obtained the dragon egg, right?
Did something happen?
“I’m going to find Hagrid, do you want to come with me?”
Albert casually asked Lee Jordan if he wanted to go to the gamekeeper's hut to have tea with Hagrid.
As expected, Lee Jordan casually made an excuse for himself, saying that he and Shanna would go to the library to do homework. Albert didn't bother to expose it, so he went to find Hagrid by himself.
A few minutes later, Albert raised his hand and knocked on the wooden door of the hunting ground guard's cabin. The sound of teeth scratching on the door came from the room, but there seemed to be no one inside?
“Hagrid, are you in there?” Albert knocked on the door again, but Hagrid never opened the door.
He walked around the hut and found that the windows in the room were closed.
With no choice but to do so, Albert could only take out his wand and open the door himself.
Although it was rude to do so, in order to confirm whether Hagrid had obtained the dragon egg, Albert opened the door and went in himself.
As soon as he opened the wooden door, Yaya rushed towards Albert, stood tall and wanted to lick his face. After being stopped by Albert, he circled around him.
Hagrid is still sleeping, he must have been drunk last night.
No wonder I didn’t write to myself.
The room was filled with a strong sour smell. Albert stretched out his hand to cover his mouth and nose, raised his wand and waved it lightly, opening all the windows in the room and sweeping away the strange smell inside.
As Albert walked towards the bed, he noticed that Hagrid was holding a basket in his hand, and there was an egg in the basket.
“It seems that Hagrid has successfully obtained the dragon egg!”
After Albert saw the egg, he couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief and shouted to Hagrid, who was still sleeping soundly on the bed: "Hagrid, if you don't get up, the dragon egg will be stolen."
The next moment, Hagrid suddenly woke up from his sleep and checked his basket in a panic. When he saw that the dragon eggs were still behind him, he couldn't help but breathed a sigh of relief and looked angrily at the guy who had just scared him.
“Are you awake?” Albert greeted Hagrid with a smile.
“Why are you here?” Hagrid stretched out his hand to cover a yawn and looked at Albert angrily. He had really been startled just now.
"Of course I'm here to see if my prediction is accurate." Albert stretched out his hand to scratch Yaya's ears, his eyes fell on the dragon eggs in the basket, a faint smile appeared at the corner of his mouth, and he said to himself: "Look Come on, my prediction is quite accurate."
“Congratulations, you finally got what you wanted.” Albert asked, “What are you going to do next, hatch the dragon?”
"Yes, I want to hatch it." Hagrid gently stroked the dragon egg on his hand like a baby. "I have even thought of a name. I am going to call it Norbert.
"Well, that's a good name." Albert scratched Yaya's chin, raised his head and looked at Hagrid, and reminded kindly: "You need to hatch him first, and before that, you need to understand that this is a name. What kind of dragon egg is it? Then figure out what kind of food needs to be fed to this kind of dragon when it is young, and make sure that when the little dragon is just born, it will not die because of your improper care. Newborn children usually Very fragile, even a dragon."
"Albert, help me." Hagrid stroked the dragon egg for a moment and asked Albert for help. He also realized that taking care of a dragon was not easy.
At least, Hagrid has no experience raising dragons.
“You need to go to the library to find a way to raise a dragon.” Albert glanced at the new task that appeared on the task panel: The Birth of Norbert
Your good friend Hagrid got a dragon egg, but he has no experience in hatching or caring for fire dragons. Now he is asking for your help. As a friend, you may be able to help him hatch the dragon egg.
Reward: 1000 experience, Hagrid's favorability +10.
Although the mission reward experience is not much, Albert is quite satisfied with it.
At least, it is much better than the leaker mission not long ago, and it is easy to complete.
After Hagrid finished speaking, Albert took out a piece of parchment that he had prepared a long time ago from his pocket and handed it to Hagrid. Inside was a book about raising dragons that Albert found from the library.
“This is for you. Go and borrow books from the library. You are an expert in raising these dangerous magical creatures, and the help I can provide you is very limited.”
Hagrid was also stunned. He took the parchment and looked at it. There were four books written on it:
"Species of European Dragons", "From Hatching to Nirvana", "A Guide to Raising Dragons", "Raising Dragons for Recreation and Profit".
“Sure, these books may be a little out of date, but the content should still be useful.”
"Thank you, I knew you were the most reliable." Hagrid wanted to step forward and give Albert a hug, but was cleverly dodged by him.
Albert didn’t want Hagrid, who smelled sour, to give him a hug.
"However, I need to remind you in advance, Hagrid." Albert sat back on his chair, stared into Hagrid's eyes and said, "Don't blame me for speaking harder."
"What's up?"
"No matter what kind of dragon you raise, it only takes a week to grow two or three times in size. Within a month, you can hardly hide it from other people." Albert noticed Hagrid's evasive gaze and sighed. : "I told you a long time ago. I don't think you want to hear it, but I still need to tell you. You will not be able to take care of Norbert for too long, and then you will need to find the principal to help send the dragon away."
Hagrid opened his mouth. He knew that what Albert said was right, but he was unwilling to accept this fact.
"As for how long you take care of Norbert, it all depends on your level of confidentiality. The more people know about it, the harder it will be to keep the dragon raising a secret." Albert reminded again: "The best The way is to hatch the dragon eggs quietly and then send the raised fire dragon away, so as not to cause trouble to the principal. You have to be mentally prepared."
After hearing what Albert said, Hagrid was like a child, so sad that he shed tears.
Albert looked at the sad Hagrid and couldn't help shaking his head. He felt like he had become a bad person.
At this moment, an owl flew in from the window, landed on the table in front of Albert, and handed him a letter.
“Your letter?” Hagrid also noticed the owl.
“Well, my letter.”
Albert discovered that the letter was written by Mr. Broad, telling him to attend tonight's party, and that he had contacted Professor McGonagall and could use her fireplace to reach his destination.
