Chapter 4496 Chapter 4498 [Wise Eyes]
At noon, Xiang Nan placed the Mountain of Light Diamond between his eyebrows to welcome the direct sunlight.
Immediately, a clear Sanskrit sound sounded in his mind.
This time he was finally able to hear clearly. This Sanskrit sound contained exactly the methods used to cultivate the eye of wisdom, mainly asceticism, meditation and yoga.
Shiva is also known as the God of asceticism. Because he wants to understand the truth, he meditates on the snow-capped mountains all year round and does asceticism. His method of asceticism is through meditation and yoga.
Shiva was the first yogi, and he taught yoga to the seven sages, so that people in the world could learn this practice.
If Xiang Nan wants to learn His "wisdom eye", he must also go through penance, meditation and yoga. Fortunately, Xiang Nan does not reject asceticism, meditation and yoga.
In the world of "Myth", he has been practicing hard in Zhongnan Mountain for more than two thousand years, and he is now practicing meditation.
In fact, yoga is not the current yoga exercise, but a practice method in ancient India. Through the practice of this method, one can achieve the state of "unity of Brahman and self".
Yoga practice is divided into eight stages, also known as the "Eight Branches of Practice", which are precepts, diligence, posture, breath control, mind control, concentration, concentration, and samadhi.
After these eight stages of practice, one can reach the state of "unity of Brahman and self", which is similar to the "unity of heaven and man" of Chinese Taoism.
…
Xiang Nan then began to practice yoga and exercise meditation. The two-pronged approach naturally progressed faster.
In less than half a year, he felt that the center of his eyebrows began to itch and swell, as if something was about to come out.
Xiang Nan knows that the center of a person's eyebrows is actually very important. In Chinese medicine, this place is called Yintang, which is a special point outside the meridian. It can improve eyesight and clear the nose, dispel wind and heat, and calm the mind and calm the mind.
After research by Western medicine, it was discovered that the pineal gland and pituitary gland are located between the eyebrows, which can secrete a variety of hormones and factors to control the body's metabolism, development and growth.
In the eyes of practitioners, this part is even more important, as it is considered the bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds.
Taoists believe that the center of the eyebrows is the upper Dantian, also known as the "Niwan Palace" and "Yuanshen Palace". To practice internal strength, you must go to the Niwan Palace. There is a saying in "Quanzhen Dao Jing" that "the top of the mud pill turns sharply".
Buddhism also believes that the center of the eyebrow is very important. Many Buddha and Bodhisattva statues have a white mark between the eyebrows. Buddhists call it the "white hair mark between the eyebrows", which symbolizes compassion and wisdom.
Tantra believes that there is a glabella chakra between the eyebrows, which is the gathering place of the left, middle and right meridians and is of vital importance.
In ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, ancient Northern Europe, Persia, Maya, Inca, Aztec and many other civilizations, the center of the brow is also very important.
For example, the ancient Egyptian sun **** Ra had a third eye between his eyebrows, called the "Eye of Ra." Later, Re merged with Horus, so this eye was also called the "Eye of Horus", which had the function of distinguishing good from evil and safeguarding health and happiness.
In Christian mythology, God also has a third eye, which is called the "all-seeing eye", which means that God is always monitoring human beings.
So Xiang Nan's swollen eyebrows are not only not a bad thing, but a good thing.
…
Sure enough, a year and a half later, on this day, Xiang Nan was meditating and practicing hard, and suddenly the center of his eyebrows jumped again and again, just like a beating heart.
Xiang Nan didn't care and continued to practice hard and temper his spirit. I could see that his eyebrows were beating more and more fiercely, and the bulges were getting louder and louder, as if something was about to burst out from under his skin.
Xiang Nan continued to practice.
Finally, there was a hissing sound, and a gap opened between Xiang Nan's eyebrows, but unexpectedly, no blood flowed out.
The gap is getting bigger and deeper. It was just a shallow crack at first, but as the eyebrows beat, the crack became bigger and bigger.
Finally, a hole opened directly between Xiang Nan's eyebrows, and the bones, muscles, blood vessels, nerves and brain inside could be seen.
Then a group of muscles, blood vessels, nerves, etc. quickly gathered and fused. In a moment, an eyeball grew out and was embedded in the hole between the eyebrows. It fit perfectly, as if it had been there since birth.
At this moment, Xiang Nan suddenly raised his hand and plucking the third eye hard, then endured the huge pain and plucking the eyeball out.
The reason why Xiang Nan wanted to dig out the third eye he had made so easily was because the third eye he had made was just a heavenly eye.
The Buddha said that there are five types of eyes, the physical eye, the heavenly eye, the wisdom eye, the Dharma eye and the Buddha's eye. Among them, mortals have naked eyes and can only see what is in front of them. The Heavenly Eye can ignore distance and see all kinds of things far and near, up and down, front and back, and inside and outside.
Wisdom eyes can see through all tangible and intangible things in the world, including worldly affairs and people's minds. Therefore, there are idioms such as "wisdom eyes know people", "wisdom eyes are like torches", "unique eyesight" and so on.
The Dharma Eye can clearly see all the Dharma doors in the world, including the six paths of reincarnation, the past and the future, the cycle of cause and effect, and can detect all illusions. The Buddha's eyes are the highest level of eyes. The vast world is all in the eyes. The past and future are all under control. They will not enter reincarnation and have eternal cause and effect...
After two years of practice, Xiang Nan only cultivated one celestial eye.
Although one can see things far and near, up and down, front and back, inside and outside, the Heavenly Eye is still the Heavenly Eye, which is far inferior to the Wisdom Eye.
So Xiang Nan would rather endure the pain and replace his Heavenly Eye with a Wisdom Eye.
As expected, the pain of this process made him tremble all over and almost faint, but he still held on and did not faint. Instead, he insisted on pressing the Mountain of Light Diamond between his eyebrows.
Immediately afterwards, Xiang Nan fainted completely.
While he was in coma, the muscles, blood vessels, nerves, and skin between his eyebrows slowly recovered, and the Mountain of Light Diamond was tightly wrapped.
…
I don't know how much time had passed, but when Xiang Nan woke up, he saw the Mountain of Light diamond already standing between his eyebrows.
And it no longer looked like the pure and flawless diamond it had before. There was actually a trace of blood inside, and a blurred pupil... just like an eyeball with cataracts.
This eyeball is now useless and can't see anything at all, but Xiang Nan knows that as time passes, this Mountain of Light diamond will truly become his eye, and eventually give him the ability to be like Shiva.
Of course, it is not easy to refine this insight, and it requires a lot of time and energy.
Fortunately, Xiang Nan doesn't lack any of these.
After looking at it for a long time, Xiang Nan closed his third eye.
As the third eye closed, the skin between the eyebrows also healed, and no abnormality could be seen at all.
As a result, no one knew that Xiang Nan actually had a third eye.
