Chapter 593 Extra Story: Diary of the Old Mayor (Version B)
Tuesday, March 20, 2012 cloudy
In order to raise funds for the Easter event, I went to the old castle where Bruce lived today.
When I arrived, Mrs. Bruce came out and opened the door for me.
She told me that she was very happy to see me, because she just made a very good apple pie.
She said that this kind of food, Bruce has never appreciated.
When I first heard her say that, I felt a little angry.
No wonder Bruce often comes to see me with an apple pie, thinking of me as a nasty food processing station.
I'm angry, I'm really, really angry.
So much so that when I had afternoon tea with Bruce today, I never gave him a good face.
It wasn't until I doubled the estimated sponsorship funds on the spot, and seeing Bruce's awkwardness and having to agree, made me feel better.

Today is Easter, and I used the money I got from Bruce to hold an unprecedented grand event in Silent Town.
Almost everyone in the small town came to participate in the event I held.
As the biggest funder of this event, Bruce of course also brought his wife and children to participate in the event.
As the host, I gave each of them an egg and invited them to participate in the egg roll.
We came to the side of the mound together and rolled the eggs down from it.
Looking at the Easter eggs rolling in this land, we are as happy as seeing that the devil has been punished.
This event has cost me a lot, so I'm praying that there will be no accidents. .
But when the event was about to end, there was still an episode.
In the beginning, it was Bruce who said he couldn't find Boots.
Later, we found him among a bunch of kids.
But when he was found, he was already inseparable from a kid named Austin.
Bruce and I had a hard time pulling them apart.
Asked about the reason for the fight, but unexpectedly it was only because of a badge that Boots wore on his chest.
I really don't understand.
Children nowadays, has their taste degenerated to this extent?
What is there to fight for such an old badge?
I was puzzled, trying to find the real reason for the fight in them.
Austin said that he just liked the badge and wanted to take a look at it, but Boots slapped him.
But Boots said that Austin was arrogant and unreasonable, and tried to grab his badge as soon as they met.
I'm getting older, and I can't tell which of the two children is more reasonable.
Anyway, fighting is definitely wrong.
If that’s the case, just fine the two of them to sweep the streets together.
Fortunately, this little episode is not a big surprise.
In general, this Easter event was very successful.

Tomorrow is Jim's wedding day.
He has been inviting me to be the witness of their wedding since a long time ago.
I was really busy with work, and I really wanted to reject him at first.
However, every time Jim asked me, his eyes were so sincere that I really couldn't say no to him.
Looking back on my wedding day, it feels like it happened in a lifetime ago.
At that time, if I could know that my wife can only accompany me for 30 years, then I should cherish every day more.
But there is no regret medicine in this world.
Some people have already completed this journey, while others are just beginning to step into it.
In my wedding speech, I wrote down my experience:
Never think that there is still a long time in the future, and don’t take everything you have obtained for granted, so that you will cherish everything in front of you even more.
I don't know if Jim can read it.
I can only hope he can understand it.

Today is Christmas Eve, a day that should be reunited with family members.
But whenever there are holidays, in fact, there are more affairs that I need to deal with in the quiet town than usual.
I locked myself in the office, immersed in a pile of documents, and almost forgot that I was going home for dinner tonight.
But then again, although my behavior is wrong, but my son, Daxuetian, actually dispatched my little granddaughter to ask me to go home for dinner. Is this behavior even more shameful?
He figured out my weakness.
Knowing that my little granddaughter is out, I will definitely not dare to stay in the office for a moment.

Booz and Austin, after being fined 37 times by me for cleaning the street, finally shook hands.
In the past three years, the battle for that badge has finally come to an end.
I am deeply relieved.
And I sincerely hope that these young men will be able to embarrass me, an old man, less in the future.

Time makes people old, and in a blink of an eye, those mischievous children seem to have grown up.
Austin once had a "glorious" record of cleaning the street 107 times, and became the most troublesome kid in my mind.
Now he has taken it easy and opened a bakery in the small town.
On the opening day, Boots, Kevin, and a round-faced boy named Barry all went to congratulate him.
These children are usually punished by me to sweep the street because of fighting.
Unexpectedly, they have become good friends now.
It reminds me of Bruce, I remember when he first moved to Quiet Town, I didn't like him too.
Speaking of which, it suddenly occurred to me that Bruce hadn't sent me an apple pie for a long time...
Damn it, he won't like this taste now, and then he won't bring it to me again, right?

My little granddaughter is now grown up and rebellious, don't want grandpa anymore?
The distant eastern countries are celebrating Qixi Festival today, so what does it matter to us?
Why does the east wind blow to us?
No, no, I can't make sense, I'm going to find my baseball bat in the locker right now.
I want to see, which brat actually abducted my little granddaughter with such smooth talk.
I changed places in my house several times.
I moved to the window.
Just so that when the little granddaughter comes back, I can see her sooner.
I waited by the window for a long time. During the waiting period, I almost rehearsed the process of beating up the brat hundreds of times in my mind.
However, when I stood by the window and saw my little granddaughter bouncing back with a boy, the anger just seemed to disappear quietly.
I smiled bitterly.
Forget it, she is so happy, I shouldn't be a grandpa who spoils the fun.
I glanced out the window and closed it silently.
said in a low voice:
Happy Qixi Festival.
(I didn’t catch up with the Qixi Festival to publish this chapter, so angry!)
