Chapter 73: Digestion

Chapter 73 Digestion

The East African colony currently covers an area of about 1.2 million square kilometers, including the entire territory of Tanzania and most of Kenya (the northern part is the Arab and indigenous sphere of influence).

The area has already surpassed the previous German East African colony. Because there are many indigenous countries in the west of the Great Lakes region and the population is relatively dense, it has not been annexed by the East African colony for the time being.

In such a large area, the number of immigrants is about 200,000. Among them, nearly 50,000 immigrants have been absorbed from the Austrian Empire in recent months, and the rest are Chinese.

The East African colony has benefited from the current transformation of the Austrian Empire into the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and the relatively turbulent domestic dividends. It absorbed about 30,000 immigrants from the Austrian Empire in the first month, and it has fallen back to around 3,000 per month. The Chinese immigrants were diverted due to the shortage of manpower in the Alaska colony, and now the number of people who come to East Africa every month is stable at about 10,000.

But Alaska does not need a large population. At around 30,000, Ernst will no longer support its population migration. By then, the Chinese immigrants going to East Africa are estimated to be stable at around 15,000 per month.

Coupled with the fact that most of the immigrants in the East African colonies are farmers, the fertility rate is in the first echelon of the same era, and it basically doubles every year. After all, if there are many births, there is enough land to raise them. The colonies pay more attention to hygiene issues, and the premature mortality rate is low. .

Not to mention the old immigrants who have lived in East Africa for a period of time, even the new immigrants from the Austrian Empire have also joined the birth force.

But this population is still not enough compared to the nearly two to three million natives in the East African colonies.

The grassland area is too large, the animals are flooded, the climate is so good, and wild fruits can satisfy their hunger, so the aborigines still have living space after being deprived of a large amount of high-quality land by the East African colonies.

These are hidden dangers in Ernst’s view. Ernst can only let go of half of his heart if all the aborigines in the current East African colony are cleaned up.

But after a year of exhausting slave hunting, the slave traders in Zanzibar only digested 200,000 indigenous people, which is a drop in the bucket.

This is also the reason why it seized a large number of slave markets in the Middle East. Even under the influence of this wave of cheap slave trade, the Ottoman Empire ushered in a wave of small development, which greatly eased the labor loss dilemma caused by ethnic conflicts. The repression of other ethnic groups was more severe.

Currently, East African colonies are facing three problems. One is gender imbalance. Unlike the Austrian immigrants who dragged their families, there were a large number of single men among the early Chinese immigrants, which will be an unstable factor for future East African rule.

The second is the ethnic imbalance. The proportion of Chinese is too high. Immigration from the Austrian Empire can only alleviate this situation. In order to truly solve this problem, in Ernst’s view, at least the proportion of the two populations of yellow and white must reach 20-80. After all, from later generations of African Americans It only accounts for a little more than 10% of the population, and if you dare to engage in affirmative action, the different races in the East African colonies must at least exceed this bottom line.

After the Austrian Empire was completely reduced to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, it passed through this chaotic period. In the future, the number of immigrants from the Austro-Hungarian Empire may not be able to maintain the current data.

Now the East African colonies have forced some Chinese immigrants to learn German in their daily lives after supplementing a large number of immigrants from the Austrian Empire.

The ratio of yellow and white races is about three to one, but more than half of these immigrants from the Austrian Empire do not know German, so this data is very watery for the colonial government that wants to implement German education in East Africa, and some even only Austro-Hungarian immigrants who can speak a few simple German words are also classified as German-speaking people.

The black tribes in other places evenly occupy the remaining 80% of the land.

So the current population problem facing the East African colonies is how to solve the above three problems.

In order to solve these three problems, Ernst generally formulated three guidelines.

One is to fund the establishment of a wedding company to purchase slaves from the Sultanate of Zanzibar in the name of transnational marriage. This is mainly aimed at the Middle East, especially the Ottoman Empire. The purpose is the Armenian women in the Ottoman Empire. Of course, if the Sultanate of Zanzibar If the country is strong enough, it would be good to get women from other Arab regions. Anyway, Ernst is willing to pay for this money, and he can even exchange it with black slaves, five to one or even twenty to one.

Ernst believed that, based on the conduct of the Ottoman Empire, they would most likely agree. After all, it was all about making money. Why not make some money by disposing of the population of opposing ethnic groups in a non-massacre way? At that time, not only Armenia, Kurds, Greeks, and Christian populations... It is estimated that Ottomans who have no morals will be sent out.

After all, this is not the slave trade, it is marriage introduction, and it is not easy for Western countries to criticize anything, as long as the unified caliber is "free love".

Of course, this policy will not only be carried out in the Middle East. Ernst will also ask his old friend the Dutch, who has a large number of colonies in the Far East, to help. If you can make money, you can’t forget your friends.

Second, there is no good solution at present. Now that the European continent has begun to move towards a short-term peaceful state, it is not very easy to operate. We can only increase the intensity of deception on the original basis, and collect as much leftovers as possible from the immigrants to America.

The third, which is the most important work of the East African colony in the coming year, is to collect all the black aborigines in the colony and exile them to the west of the Great Lakes, Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda.

Since the Sultanate of Zanzibar cannot digest so many slaves, Ernst can only send them to the west of the Great Lakes to consume the power of the indigenous countries there.

After all, their land is limited and their population is large. After the East African colony drove a large number of aborigines there, the two waves of people with different cultures and systems will definitely use their brains.

Ernst took the opportunity to wipe out at least one-third of the indigenous people. As for fleeing westward, there is the Congo rainforest. Even in modern society, the tropical rainforest is a forbidden area for human beings. It is hard to say whether they can live after entering.

This third plan actually has the meaning of driving tigers and wolfs away, but in other words, if you send sheep to the tiger's mouth, you will die if you don't die.

After all, the indigenous countries living in the Great Lakes region are not good at stubble. Compared with the many indigenous countries in the East African colonies who are still in the primitive society, the slavery countries are already quite developed.

Slavery countries need not talk about the means to deal with overpopulation. Referring to the Shang Dynasty in the Far East, most of them will adopt physical means to balance the population size. Similar to ancient Rome facing the German barbarians.

All in all, the current focus of the East African colonial government is no longer to continue to expand, but to secure the land in their hands first.

While driving out the aborigines, stabilize the population structure of the colony, and fill the vast land of the East African colony with immigrants.
